Taylor R0007C Standard Thiosulfate Reagent #7 2 oz R-0007-C-12
Taylor Thiosulfate N/10 Reagent #7 is the first reagent in a series of three used to determine Total Alkalinity. Total Alkalinity is the measure of the acid-neutralizing capacity of water which indicates its buffering ability, i.e., resistance to changes in pH. Generally, the higher the total alkalinity, the greater the resistance to pH change.
Features:- Storing reagents at a consistent temperature in the range of 36°-85° F (2°-29° C); extreme temperature fluctuation, say from a refrigerator to a hot car trunk, causes reagents to deteriorate.
- Keeping them out of prolonged direct sunlight.
- Segregating reagents from containers of treatment chemicals.
- Replacing caps immediately and tightening them carefully so that exposure to air and humidity is limited.
- Avoiding switching bottle caps, placing bottle caps on soiled surfaces, repouring reagents into contaminated containers, or touching test strip pads.
